Gaseous Baphomet Demon

Did this for the Stan Winston School of Character Arts , Demon Art Contest.
I think I spent about 8 hours on it or something. Most of that time I spent playing around with the concept. Aimed to have fun, I think it turned out alright. Thanks for viewing!

Kahoots, the conniving hypno owl

A character I have been working on. Enjoy!

Kahoots
A certain flutist from Demacia went looking to capture birds and dry out their bones and turn them into priceless flutes. He ventured far beyond the city walls, and eventually the day ended, but he kept looking for the right specimen. In his single minded pursuit of finding the rarest of birds, he lost track of time and found himself alone in the dark in the furthest part of the forest. The merchant knew the area pretty well, and continued to pursue his bounty. After a few hours he overheard a notable hoot noise and knew it was the call of a Damacian Great Owl, a highly treasured bird and was treason to kill such an animal of great beauty. Immediately he killed it and ran over to inspect the fallen creature. Unknowingly he had gone into a place no man has ventured before. Suddenly a tear in the fabric of space and time opened up near the corpse. The void had come to claim such a pure creature of the sky and unfortunately him as well. The merchant was violently consumed along with the owls body. As he was succumbed by the darkness, the Merchants mind warped into all which ways and his eyes were shown a mirror of the viscous animal nature he had become. At that moment, the void spat him out, and sealed itself up. As he got up still bewildered at what happened, he finally came to and had forgotten who he was. He wasn't man anymore. As he began to perceive his identity, he fell in love with his new condition, almost too much. The void had combined him with the corpse of an owl. In this transformation he gained powerful knowledge of dark arts and heightened owl perceptions  unfortunately his stalky bird form allowed him to skim the plains of Runeterra, but not enough for the ability to soar the sky and be free. His own mind neurotically consumed itself with greedy desires to bend others to do his bidding. He wanted his music and his possessions, and conveniently obtained a set of dynasty armor and all his things from his home by hypnotizing the guards and controlling their actions. Bringing his loot back to his domain from where he once came and was regurgitated. Now he spends his time enjoying his music and developing his powers, figuring out new ways of causing havoc in a delightful melody. He eventually found out about the league of legends through Veigar, and decided to test out all his newly acquired potential in the arena.

Season 3 Contest submission

I think he took me about 6 hours with 2 10 min breaks.
I treated it as a speed painting, but I got really frustrated at drawing metal while knowing I had a deadline.
14 minutes before submission deadline, i hope i place top 15.
Mordekaiser trains by reading the newspaper, he doesnt need to hunt or workout, hes already badass... so...gg no re?

Heaven's Hell Art Contest

I really like Anthony's style, so I took a whack at this contest. The requirements is his style under an hour. This project made me really unsettled. I was trying to throw everything down at once and didn't think much of my original process. I did moon man one second and the bird lookin one first. anyways, loved doing these, thinking about changing my process completely in photoshop after seeing what happens under time restraints. I don't feel my style is set in stone yet (what artist ever is?), and this really helped me branch out in a good way.
oh... and I'm still looking for a job, still sending out portfolio resumes and cover letters.
If you know of a position that opened up under what I do, please contact me.

Desert Spike-nail Mandible Wasp

He uses his spike-nail mandible to stab the victim, then it extracts their gelatinous organs and blood. He has a regular mouth to finish the carcass later. So he's about 10 feet tall by comparison to random desert bushes. Heh...I wanted to add a dead dude for comparison, but this was the last photoshop file I was working on until my computer blue screened X_X. AND YES, I am actively trying to fix my computer, thanks for your concern... Anyways, Enjoy! Thanks for lurking my blog!

And I'll post up ine of my works that i was working on before the Blue screens of death.

Spikenail Mandible Creature Concepts! & other highlighted sketchbook work

I realized just the other day that I have a lot of sketch work that I don't put up on my blogspot because I dislike scanning everything and I'm worried about people stealing my ideas. Well now that I have an iPhone 4s, scanning is not an issue, and I'm getting over the whole intellectual property paranoia and being more concerned with sharing my art so people know I am serious about what I do, so hopefully from now on I'll be showing you my sketch work AND my photoshop work.
I hope you like my creatures! and my recent sketchbook work!!!
Oh and the top right worm creature is a shout out to Liam Sharp's creature, "Metawhal Alpha", here's a link to a new project they are working on.
Check it out! http://www.madefire.com/blog/2012/08/28/the-monster-hunt-is-on
cheers!
